Since 2010 the Ortiz family have delighted the palates of their customers with their fresh homemade corn tortillas and authentic Mexican food. They have revolutionized the culinary industry in Milwaukee and its surroundings.

They started with a small food cart at the corner of Layton Boulevard and National Avenue. Tolerating the snow, the cold, the rain, the heat, always committed to providing excellent costumer service.

A few years later, they acquired their food truck, that was placed in Oconomowoc, taking their authentic flavors to different cities in Wisconsin.

In 2014 Chilango Express move to their first location on 68th and Lincoln Avenue, keeping their authentic flavors and working hard to improve their new establishment. More and more people fell in love instantly. Over the next 5 years business was booming, there was not enough seating for everyone! It was time to get a bigger location! Luckily enough there was an available restaurant space, a few blocks away!

Renovations were made, they even add a small bar area, it become the perfect new home for Chilango Express.

They cut the ribbon on March 14th 2019. They are so thankful and happy for all the support they get from their wondeful customers that make everything possible.
